A Secret Alchemy

I would like to congratulate the lovely Emma Darwin on today's publication of A Secret Alchemy, her second novel.

Emma comments regularly on this blog and has been very supportive both of me and of it, so I'm very glad to have this opportunity to tell you all to go out and buy the book NOW. If it's half as good as her first one, The Mathematics of Love, it'll be brilliant.

I hope you're celebrating, Emma. Have a tizer on me!

Thanks to your blog, It's now on the top of my 'to read' pile. If I love it half as much as I loved The Mathematics of Love, I know I'm in for a huge treat. I may even review it on my book blog...

Do, Sally. And make sure you put your review up on Amazon, too.

I bet Emma's rushing around doing all sorts of writerly things today. Like drinking coffee and agonising over how she's going to top this book. Because from what I hear on the grapevine, it's very good indeed.

I've still not managed to get rid of those extra spaces that Amazon builds into its Affiliate links.

If there's anyone who can explain to me in words of one syllable how to get rid of them I'd be very grateful because I've tried, and thought I had it.

Pah.

Oh, fabulous. I adored The Mathematics Of Love, so will look out for this one. Thanks for the alert.

Aw, thank you Jane. I did have some excellent fizz yesterday, rather more potent than tizer, and having started the day not expecting much - everything happens before or after, in my experience - it actually turned out very enjoyable. (Till Typepad swallowed a whole blogpost, and since I couldn't let the day pass without saying something, I stayed up till gone midnight rewriting it. Grrr!)

I'm always so thrilled at the thought of Real People reading my stuff, and I'd love to know in due course what people think about it, if they want to tell me...

Ah, Emma. My little blog isn't going to make much of a difference to your sales, but I'm glad it pleased you. And I'm even more happy that you managed a bit of a celebration yesterday. Despite Typepad's efforts!

I know of several Real People (who, me?) who have bought A Secret Alchemy already, so I don't think you'll have to wait too long for a favourable review or two.

And look: I think I might have got rid of those silly gaps that Amazon adds to my links. I feel so proud of myself.

This post reminded me that I intended to buy both of the books mentioned.
