As one of the authors, I can't say enough about my positive experience with the imprint. I was involved in the publication process every step of the way, and I owe the Orange Prize double-listing to Will. His editorial comments made the book the best it could be.

Like most of the MNW writers, I don't have an agent. Maybe I'm missing something, but at this point I enjoy the luxury of working directly with the MNW/Pan Macmillan team. There's no middleman and that means I know many of the individuals who work so hard on behalf of my novel. The lines of communication are always open and direct. I wish more writers could have this experience.

One experience open to all is Maggie Dana's Beachcombing. It's a terrific read!Ann Weisgarberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11220698901977906665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5519912440753252776.post-66175942978536188472009-08-11T16:43:07.356+01:002009-08-11T16:43:07.356+01:00Thanks for that, Mick. Several of our authors have ‘graduated’ to Pan Mac’s mainstream imprints, with multi-book deals, on conventional terms, with an advance. Macmillan New Writing was founded with the understanding that authors’ careers take time to grow."[...]Mick Rooneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15787268101730723300noreply@blogger.com
